Global Talent Visa Overview
The Global Talent Visa allows talented and internationally recognised individuals to come to and remain in the UK without needing a specific job offer. It is available to individuals in specific sectors who can obtain endorsement from a designated endorsing body.
Eligible Sectors and Endorsing Bodies
- Academia and Research: Endorsed by the Royal Society, British Academy, Royal Academy of Engineering, or UK Research and Innovation (UKRI)
- Arts and Culture: Endorsed by Arts Council England
- Digital Technology: Endorsed by Tech Nation
- Architecture, Design, Fashion, Film, TV, Music, and Visual Arts: Endorsed by Arts Council England
Exceptional Talent vs Exceptional Promise
Applications can be made under two categories:
- Exceptional Talent: For individuals already established as leaders in their field
- Exceptional Promise: For those at an earlier stage of their career who show the potential to become leaders
Key Advantages
- No requirement for a job offer or employer sponsor
- Freedom to work in any role or be self-employed
- Accelerated settlement route (3 years for Exceptional Talent, 5 years for Exceptional Promise)
- Dependants may accompany or join the main applicant
The Application Process
